What is Biomedia?

Designed to meet the most demanding expectations for quality and performance, ILFORD BioMedia is an environmentally-friendly alternative for commercial display products.

The products are biodegradable in accordance with ASTM standard D5511. They break down under anaerobic (no oxygen) landfill conditions thanks to a unique enzyme that accelerates the biodegradation process.

THE BIOMEDIA RANGE:

The ILFORD BioMedia range of products can be used separately or as part of a complete system and includes films, rigid mounting boards and laminates.

BioMedia Display Films.

A range of films suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. Using a flexible printing substrate, available in standard roll sizes, this environmentally-friendly alternative to exhibition and display panels is compatible with all technology platforms including UV, solvent, eco-solvent, latex and aqueous printers.

BioMedia Rigid Display Boards.

These direct-to-print boards are compatible with all UV platforms. In addition, the ultra smooth surface is suitable as a direct replacement for traditional mounting boards.

BioMedia Laminate.

The BioMedia Laminate has similar properties to traditional polyester laminates yet is biodegradable as well as recyclable and can be used with a variety of substrates for indoor and outdoor applications.
