It is with great sadness that we announce the peacelfull death of Pierre Bron in his 92nd year.

Carl Zeiss presents the Distagon T* 2/25 ZE and ZF.2 moderate wide-angle lenses.

The large image angle allows photographers to capture exciting perspectives. With its excellent imaging quality at all aperture settings, the lens flexes its muscles particularly for photo documentaries in interior rooms where space is at a premium, as well as for pictures of objects, architecture and landscapes. In many situaions, a flash is an unwelcome feature-at family gatherings, in a museum or in a church for example. To capture the mood in such places, photographers gladly do without aggressive lighting and instead work with particularly high-speed lenses that enable short exposure times even under difficult lighting conditions.

The company, broncolor, presents the first lamp worldwide with 30W LED modelling light. This output corresponds approximately to a 100W halogen lamp and is unique on the market in this form. The LED technology promises a longer service life as well as energy conservation, spot-on for mobile application. TIPA Award 2011 goes to broncolor Senso!

The TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) has presented, as every year, its most coveted awards for the best photo and imaging products in the world. The company Bron Elektronik AG, Allschwil/Switzerland has been awarded a prize. The price goes to the Swiss manufacturer for their broncolor Senso power packs. Below TIPA's nomination text:

"Best Professional Flash System; broncolor Power Pack Senso series.

The broncolor Senso series combines easily controllable flash power and compact size. The Senso power pack is available in two power versions, offering 13 to 1200J or 26 to 2400J (Ws) flash energy for up to three lamps in two channels plus 5 f-stop asymmetry. Appealing and practical features include constant colour temperature over three f-stops and a built-in radio receiver RFS 2. Jointly developed for the Senso power packs, the Litos flash head offers flexible handling with a protective cap that can quickly be converted into an umbrella or standard reflector.
